We’ve had an eventful year! Lots has happened so here is our 2019 In Review for you….
Volunteer Hosts
Firstly, a massive thanks to our Volunteer Hosts: Carole, Sandra, Alison, Maureen and our newest member of the team, Terry. We started hosting most of our events in 2019 and the response has been great with wonderful feedback.
Event Arrangements
For most the events (not for e.g. our parties, discos or Speed-Friending) we continued with our small organisation and admin fee, which covers everything we need to do for you (arranging, promoting, taking PayPal bookings, running our Facebook group and corresponding on calls/emails etc), and then you’re free to order what you like at the arranged venues. This has been ideal and so we will be carrying on with events like these in addition to our other events.
Saturday Speed-Friending
This year we had some terrific sell-out events. One of our most popular events is our Speed-Friending events. We started these events in April 2019. Find out more about these events. Our first two were in Islington, then we were in Old Street, and now we have a new venue in Islington again – we love the atmosphere here. Our next Who London Speed-Friending event will be in February and we now have reserved space in fashionable Radicals & Victuallers.
Free Council Event
Lambeth Council also approached us to host a Speed-Friending Taster event for them and it went fantastically and we had a ball working with Raquel at Lambeth Council. Everyone really enjoyed themselves!
Who London Parties
We returned to Alexander The Great restaurant in Camden for a feast to celebrate our 5th Birthday Bash. Everyone loved the food and venue in 2017 and the same went for it this year! Our Who London Xmas Party was in Covent Garden and it was a full house. Similarly, the 70s & 80s Disco Nights with Haven’t Stopped Dancing Yet have also been a firm Who London favourite – keep an eye out for the next one.
Free Facebook Group
In January 2019 we started our free Who London 50+ Socialisers Facebook Group. The response has been great and it’s a good way to already get chatting before coming to one of our events.

January Introductions
January Introductions 2019 was at The Wigmore in Marylebone. This year we are hosting January Introductions 2020 at Pennethorne’s Bar in Somerset House. Join us on Saturday 4th January to start 2020 making new friends this New Year.
