August Introductions
BOOKINGS ARE NOW CLOSED
£31.50 – £45.00
Sunday 14th August, 5pm-7.30pm at The Counting House!
If you find it hard to approach several new people at a meetup, our mingling event for Londoners age 50+ is for you. Make new friends and build connections.
***Our venue is a stunning historical pub a few minutes’ walk from Bank Station.***
Member and Guest (non-member) tickets available. No tickets on the door.
>>>Members receive a free drink. Everyone will share a small selection of sides/snacks or treats for FREE!<<<
Our Introductions event is the hosted drinks event for making friends or finding a partner through round-robin group socialising. Pre-arranged specially chosen rotation schedules so you get to meet everyone properly.
Our event hosts ensure you get to chat with lots of friendly Who Londoners, rather than get stuck with a few people. You’ll be given a name label and a piece of paper with numbers specific to you. The numbers represent table/bar areas you move to for new group chats every 20mins when we ring our bells (let us know when you book if you need to stay seated). It’s easy to follow and flows smoothly.
“I liked the people and the changing of tables.” (Linda)

Not just a drinks meetup, but an organised networking event to make new friends and connections. You’ll have the time to get to know new people with our relaxed socialising format, where we pre-assign you a new group for each of our rounds. (You won’t all be left to have to mingle among yourselves.)
-
Rotation schedule arrangement specific to each event to ensure you can chat to everyone attending. There are a number of possible layout plans, but we try different scenarios before the event in order that we get everyone the best fit for this particular evening.
-
You’ll know which tables/bar area you’ve been designated for each round and our table number stands are huge so you can easily see them.
-
Hands-on hosting with hosts welcoming you right at the entrance, ensuring the event runs smoothly, and explaining our simple and successful method before we start. All hosts take part in the group chats too.

Top venue with character and which is easy to get to. We’ve booked a private area for our mingling in the beautiful Counting House pub, which has plenty of history and is opening longer especially for us!
Let’s enjoy socialising and make friends over drinks/cocktails and a little food – a comfortable event to come alone to and meet lots of new people age 50+.
(Tickets incur a 4.5% PayPal/Stripe booking fee. No refunds/exchanges unless NHS proof of a positive COVID-19 test taken within 24hrs of our event, or we reschedule/cancel).
Book your guest ticket below, or join as a member here first to buy a member ticket (members get a free drink, access to on-site member messaging, and more).

This event is unique and we have a private area in our venue so that it's all about us. Our event hosts make sure you meet lots of new people and end your weekend on a high note.
You'll have a chilled time in a popular pub with unbelievably high ceilings and gleaming chandeliers. The Counting House is a jaw-dropping venue, where even the amazing photos can’t beat the wow-factor when you’re actually there in person!
The Counting House's main bar is housed in a former banking hall. The beautiful Cornhill pub (and hotel) oozes 19th century decadence. It was built in 1893 as Prescott's Bank and the building's foundations sit partly on a 2000 year old Roman basilica, which hosted everything from city administrators and law courts to the Treasury.
It's now the pub for beer fans, having a Master Cellarman Award. It serves Fuller's favourites such as London's Pride, ESB and Oliver's Island.
Please arrive at our venue at 5pm and ask for the Who London event.
Bring along your ticket, or show us it on your mobile, so we can register you in.
If you’re a Who London Club Member you'll receive a token to use for a free welcome drink from our menu. Both members and guests (non-members) will share a little food on us. (If you like, you can order extra bar snacks such as crisps/nuts – some other food will available to order for the first hour of the event.)
Our hosts will make you feel welcome from the minute you arrive and they can introduce you to a few Who Londoners to start your evening with us.
Our Introductions Event really works: we move together to another Who London group every twenty minutes or so. This way you can meet as many people as possible at this event. Everyone is friendly and there will be at least a few of you socialising together each time.
There will be a mixture of seating and areas to stand and chat, creating an informal atmosphere which fits our Club ethos just right.
Almost everyone comes on his/her own and is looking to make friends or meet a partner, so you will be in good company.
***The event will end at 7.30pm, when the pub shuts, but your socialising can continue later....If you’re a member you can log in on our website and send messages or receive them from other members, as well as chat/comment on our member-only blog posts. Members will also be emailed Who London Handpicked, our monthly member newsletter. This gives you our recommended top places to visit with new friends or where to go on a date.***
