Winter Wonderland is so many people’s favourite London Christmas outing. If you’re looking for a really fun time with new friends during the festive period, Winter Wonderland is a must.
Every Christmas Hyde Park becomes a magical destination. This year our Who London event there is on Monday 30th November at 6pm. Monday will be a little more quiet than other days so you can chat and enjoy walking round with others. An evening here is unforgettable as the lights around the market and on the stalls, and the Giant Observation Wheel, are nothing but enchanting. Just soak up the Christmas spirit and enjoy it with our group.
Get to know one another whilst you watch ice-skaters, perhaps sing along to Christmas songs (!), or browse the more than 200 fairylit Bavarian style wooden chalets. You’ll find unique gifts or little Christmas stocking fillers – from handmade items, to jewellery, stained glass lamps, hats, sweets and flavoured cheeses! Try the food samples first as you will have trouble choosing which to buy – but you could always share the special offers with new friends in the group.
Whilst walking round together keep yourself warm with a hot toddy, some noodles, chestnuts, a pretzel, or you could stop off at the Bavarian Village for Bratwurst and rest your well-worked legs. The lovely Alaskan inspired Arctic Lodge Bar and The House of St Nicholas are great stopping points with roaring log fires to warm you up. You could try out The Carousel bar as well which moves very slowly 360 degrees whilst you drink and mingle.
Some attractions are pre-bookable at a cost and spaces get filled quickly. We recommend the Magical Ice Kingdom where you can see magnificent ice sculptures. This is a true arctic experience at -8C.
