Interview With A Who Londoner

We’ve just done another lovely interview with one of our regular event-goers and here it is to share with you….

1. Why did you decide to book your first Who London event?
I decided to book my first event after seeing several website ads and thinking how good the idea was of people in London getting together. The web page looked interesting and I felt excited about trying this new venture.

2. Do you have any tips for someone coming to a Who London event for the first time?
For any others thinking of coming along to any Who London event, I would say – definitely give it a go. Once you’ve been brave enough to take the first step and pick an event, I can guarantee you will enjoy yourself. Have an open mind and just go along, you won’t regret it.

3. What do you like best about Who London?
Who London is a great way to find and make new friends. Everyone is very friendly. The process of joining Who London is very easy (you don’t have to be a member though) and the booking of events is quick and easy. You receive good emails giving details of upcoming events. The communication is great and you feel part of a great group.

4. Why did you choose to become an Annual Member, rather than attend events as a Guest?
I decided to join as a Full Member as it makes sense to do so. It’s a simple and inexpensive group to join. It’s good value for money without a doubt. You will also receive updates on all new events and all that you have booked.

5. Which kind of events do you see yourself going to in the future?
I have now been on several events and I have really enjoyed the walks with either a canal boat trip or a lunch included. They are great days to go on (especially for new members). I have also loved going on the activity days – Kayaking was a brilliant day, so much fun. The Gin & Jazz evening was a fabulous evening. So many great events, you just need to book and come along and see for yourself. Our Birthday Lunch was a lovely time for everyone to meet up & chat.

6. Describe your ideal week in London.
A week in London with Who London would be good fun. Walking tour to start, with lots of interesting facts & stories. Followed by a lunch in a local restaurant with lots of chatting and laughs with new friends. Another day could be spent on a canal boat or kayaking on the Regents Canal and then meeting in a pub for a drink with Who London friends. Then on a Friday night it could be a Gin & Jazz evening in a stunning hotel in London, with food and cocktails, good music and again new and familiar Who London friends. Even a trip to the theatre or a London play can be taken in. All the great things you would expect to do in London – and now with like-minded friends you’ve made thanks to Who London.
