A Moving Evening In Breathtaking Surroundings

£18 members, £23 non-members

The Armed Man is without doubt Sir Karl Jenkins’ most popular piece. Join other Who Londoners for this moving concert in a beautiful church with ornate interiors.

In fact this church has been used for TV Shows, commercials and many film settings including Four Weddings and a Funeral, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, Richard II – from the BBC Shakespeare Series: The Hollow Crown, Elizabeth: The Golden Age, Sherlock Holmes, The Other Boleyn Girl, Amazing Grace, Shakespeare in Love, and Jude.

***Please arrive at 7pm so you have three quarters of an hour to meet and socialise with your Who London group (we have a reserved area) inside St Bartholomew the Great. The concert will then begin at 7.45pm.***

Subtitled “A Mass for Peace”, The Armed Man was commissioned by the Royal Armouries to mark the transition from one millennium to another. It reflects on the passing of ‘the most war-torn and destructive century in human history’ and looks forward in hope to a more peaceful future.

Jenkins is President of the Angmering Chorale and the bond between composer and choir will bring a very special flavour to this performance in the breathtaking surroundings of St Bartholomew the Great.
