A special tour back by popular demand

£40 members, £43 non-members | 30 spaces

This popular legal tour includes our dining in a spectacular location!

Enter the secluded enclave of the City and its borders as we step back in time to hear the history of this secret corner of London. Famous Barristers and their unique customs, literary figures like Oliver Goldsmith, Dr Johnson and “Rumpole of the Bailey”, The Knights Templar and a Jack the Ripper suspect all feature here.

Diane, Blue Badge Guide, hosts this walk for mixed-age groups. She will introduce Who London ticket holders to each other at the start of the tour before taking you to see the 12th century church of the Knights Templar, view the three Inns of Court and pay a short visit to the Royal Courts of Justice.

The tour will include a three course lunch at the Elizabethan Middle Temple Hall where Barristers are called to the Bar and where Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” was first performed. The menu will not be confirmed until nearer the time but it will include a starter, main course and a dessert (vegetarian option will be available), tea/coffee and water. Any other drinks can be purchased separately on the day. Please email if you are on a special diet, e.g. gluten free.

We meet at 11.30am outside Temple tube station and will finish no later than 3.30pm near to Holborn tube station.
