Hear About Bankside & Southwark, Followed By Afternoon Tea

£26 members, £30 non-members

Please note Diane’s Walking Tours sell out fast.

Your ticket includes a guided tour as well as Afternoon Tea.

This walk is for all ages (usually most are 50+) and Diane, your Blue Badge Tour Guide, will introduce Who London ticket holders to each other at the start of the tour.

This walking tour is a pleasant riverside stroll to discover the racy past of Bankside and Southwark including theatres, brothels, a palace, taverns and a prison. All this plus Dickens’ connections, film locations, maritime, dock and industrial history make this an entertaining tour.

After the walk everyone will enjoy Afternoon Tea at Browns Brasserie in Butler’s Wharf overlooking the Thames by Tower Bridge.

Your Afternoon Tea menu includes:

  • A selection of butter brioche rolls: smoked salmon with chive and lemon cream cheese, free range egg and baby watercress, chicken and avocado fillings.
  • Home baked buttermilk scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam.
  • Mini desserts.
  • All served with tea of course!

Meeting point: Blackfriars Station at 1.30pm (the new entrance to the station on the south side of Blackfriars Bridge). (Tour finishes at approximately 5pm at Browns Brasserie which is within short walking distance of London Bridge station with underground and above ground services, or across the bridge to Tower Hill underground.)
