Please book early as Diane’s tours sell out fast.

Your ticket includes a walking tour by Diane, our Blue Badge Guide, and a guided tour of the Supreme Court.

This tour is open to all ages, but event attendees tend to be 50+. Diane will introduce you to Who Londoners at the beginning of the tour.

Diane will begin the afternoon leading a tour telling the story of the women who battled for the right to vote. Learn about the personalities, the struggles, the misfortunes and the successes of those who paved the way for the successful women MPs of recent years as we walk the historic byways of Westminster.

See the building where the “Women’s Parliaments” were held, the spot where police celebrated a suffragette leader 20 years after they arrested her, the flat of a suffragette who became a pioneering MP, and the hall dedicated to the leader of the moderate Suffragists. It’s a fascinating story full of remarkable women and their supporters.

After a short break we will take a guided tour of the UK Supreme Court. Opened in 1913 the building was originally home to the Middlesex Guildhall. In 1964 Middlesex ceased to exist as an administrative and judicial area. The Guildhall was converted in the 1980s to a Crown Court with seven busy criminal courtrooms. Before it took up its new role in 2009 the building was extensively refurbished. We will be shown around the courtrooms as well as the magnificent Justices’ Library, which is not normally open to the public, and we can visit the exhibition area to spend time at leisure browsing the information on display.

***Meet at 1pm inside Westminster Tube ticket hall. Tour finishes at the UK Supreme Court at approx. 4.30pm, which is within short walking distance of St James’s Park and Westminster tube stations.***
