Kayaking down the River Thames or one of London’s many canals is the perfect choice of activity for the more adventurous Who London members and we have a tour on Saturday 24th June!
London Kayak Tours promise fun, excitement and laughter with a paddle down the River Thames and London’s canal network….
Your tour includes a pre-safety talk and a kayak briefing so you are aware of the basics of kayaking. You’ll then be sent on your way with a British Canoe Union Instructor who will guide you down the River Thames.
Check out this two minute video of a kayaking tour in action!
Your tour guide will meet you at the designated meeting point. Your tour is guided by a qualified BCU instructor throughout and he/she will provide tuition and safety induction. Your tour guide is First Aid trained and carries first aid equipment. Kayaks, buoyancy aids and all necessary equipment for the tour will be provided. Buoyancy aids (life jackets) are provided and it is obligatory that they are worn always throughout your tour.
What to bring
A bottle of water – these can be purchased in advance (get in touch with us here).
You may get wet from splashing, so we recommend waterproof clothing and please wear shoes that you don’t mind getting wet such as trainers or crocs.
A change of clothing if you like in case you do get wet.
Gloves (running or cycling ones are best and fingerless ones give you more control of the paddle).
Sun hat and sun cream.
You can also purchase waterproof phone covers in advance of the tour, to enable you to take your phone with you and to take pictures etc. Please get in touch should you wish to order one.
